All prospective students are given an entrance assessment. This assessment enables us to evaluate each student's academic strengths and/or areas of need. If any special need seems present, the principal will determine if these needs can be met effectively at St. Francis School. There is a $10.00 non-refundable testing fee.
Kindergarten: The assessment for kindergarten readiness is based on a developmental approach. Motor skills, oral language ability, and adaptive abilities are assessed, in addition to maturity level and readiness skills. Students must be 5 years old by September 1 to be eligible for Kindergarten.
