Thankful, Grateful, Blessed!

November is called the Month of the Holy Souls. We celebrate sevearl religious feast in Novemebr, including All Saints Day, All Souls Day and end with Thanksgiving. All Saints' Day (November 1) honors all the saints who have entered heaven, both recognized and unrecognized, while All Souls' Day (November 2) is a day to pray for the souls of all the departed, especially those in purgatory. The Catholic Church uses these two consecutive days to reflect on the communion of saints and to pray for the souls of the faithful who are still being purified before they can enter heaven. This year All Saints Day falls on a Saturday and the Mass obligation has been dispensed. As Catholics, we pray for our dearly beloved who have departed from this world.

November is the month of giving thanks. It is a great time to reflect on our lives and realize how blessed we are. Even when our lives are riddled with trials and tribulations, we can always look for God's blessings and joys. Nobody has a perfectly happy life, but our attitude and approach make our lives a curse or a gift. Let's take time to be very intentional about being grateful for the innumerable blessings God showers on us every single day. Mother Teresa said, "Be thankful for small things, for it is in them your strength lies."

'Give thanks to the Lord, for He is good. His love endures forever.' ~1 Chronicle 16:34

Through a combination of play-based, sensory, hands-on opportunities and structured activities we concentrate on spiritual, social, emotional, physical and cognitive growth. Each of the classes focus on the age-appropriate developmental needs of the children in our care. That focus helps us create a stimulating program that provides hands-on learning centers, individualized attention and encourage each child’s individual growth.
